Unlike other manufacturers, the technology of Hatsan Vortex Gas Pistons is designed and manufactured by Hatsan to be specifically used in most Hatsan Break Barrel and Under Lever air rifles. Hatsan Vortex Gas Pistons use regular air instead of any other type of gas. Hatsan offers 6 different types of Hatsan Vortex Gas Pistons - covering most of the Hatsan line of Break Barrel and Underlever. 
Advantages of gas guns:
Gas-piston air rifles can remain loaded for long periods of time without causing any strain or damage to the mechanism. Gas-piston air guns produce more stable and consistent power between successive shots compared to spring-loaded air guns. Gas-air guns reduce most of the vibration caused by the oscillation of heavy springs. Gas piston models oscillate much less and complete the action cycle in less time than spring-loaded models, creating greater shooting comfort. The life cycle of gas piston air guns is significantly greater. There is no risk of spring fatigue or breakage. Fewer moving parts result in much more efficient and reliable operation.
