Caldwell Ballistic Precision G2 Chronograph with Mobile App redefines conventional chronograph technology. The G2 is capable of measuring in adverse lighting conditions, even indoors, making its measurements more accurate than other chronographs. Higher accuracy is achieved through light sensors positioned 46 cm apart for greater precision, the use of a high-speed 48 MHz processor, and a circuit design with an advanced data interface that allows each unit to be computer-calibrated. The end result is the ability to provide much better accuracy than other chronographs on the market (+/- 0.25%) from 5 to 9999 FPS. While technologically advanced, the device is designed to be easy to operate, displaying velocity in feet per second or meters per second on the large built-in LCD screen. The chronograph can also transmit shot velocity data via the 15-foot audio jack cable (included) to a smartphone or mobile device. A free downloadable app is available, which displays the velocity of each shot on the phone's screen and records it along with other data identifying the load and environmental conditions. The app also automatically calculates average velocity, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, and velocity spread for sequential shots. Data is stored and can be exported via email. The sunshades are exceptionally wide for better reliability on sunny days and are made from a durable synthetic material.
