Following a suicide bombing in central London, Danny Black of the SAS is given a special assignment and becomes a member of a hit squad led by a joint committee of MI5, MI6, and the CIA, and is tasked with tracking down and neutralizing cells believed to be planning further attacks.

Initially, the trail leads them to a mosque in North London and a hate-filled Muslim cleric, whom the Home Secretary had tried and failed to deport on several occasions, as well as to a disgraced Saudi prince living at the Park Lane Hotel -a seemingly devout Muslim who, in the absence of his family, was entirely devoted to alcohol, drugs, and prostitutes. A gray-haired former SAS commando also comes under their scrutiny; he spreads rumors that Diana was killed in the Paris tunnel.
The trail of clues leads Danny to a training camp in Yemen, but just as he “locks onto” his enemies, he discovers that they are somehow one step ahead of him and begins to suspect that they were tipped off by someone… Someone close to home…
