The Outdoor Master collection is manufactured by Manufacturas Muela, a Spanish knife maker that specializes in crafting sturdy fixed-blade knives. As a result, the end product is very impressive. You can use a knife from the Outdoor Master series for camping or for working with brush. The handle is made of blue-black layered Micarta with red inlays. Micarta is a material consisting of linen or paper fabric impregnated with an epoxy-based resin. The material is compressed under high pressure. The result is an incredibly beautiful, durable handle material that offers an excellent grip. Even in wet conditions, the material retains its grip. Victorinox has included a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. You can attach a piece of paracord to it. The blade is made of steel comparable to the well-known 1.4110 steel used in Swiss Army knives. It’s a high-quality stainless steel that’s easy to maintain. Great for those times when you’re out in the woods and need to quickly sharpen your knife. Victorinox has also enhanced the Outdoor Master series with a Scandinavian grind. In fact, it features a large secondary edge, with no frills. Since the blade is relatively thick, it’s very sturdy and can handle quite a lot. The Scandi grind is great for woodworking. Since the blade metal extends past the end of the handle, you can also use that part as a makeshift hammer. The Outdoor Master Mic Large knife comes with a sturdy Kydex sheath. It is equipped with a nylon belt loop and an adjustment screw to tighten the sheath. On the side of the sheath, there is a Kydex holder for a magnesium fire starter.
