XTAR VC4s Smart Charger

Xtar VC4s is a compact 4-channel smart charger for all popular types of lithium-ion (ICR, IMR, INR) and NiMH batteries, featuring three important new functions. The power port supports the QuickCharge 3.0 (QC3) standard for high-current charging. The device can deliver up to 3A of charging current to one of the ports. The device can measure the capacity of the batteries placed for charging. The QuickCharge 3.0 is very widespread and supported by a number of mobile device manufacturers (Samsung, LG, HTC, …) and USB power adapters (Anker, Belkin, …) The Xtar VC4s has a special feature for activating protected Li-Ion batteries that read 0V, allowing you to revive a battery you would otherwise have written off. The device is powered via a micro-USB connector and features a combined analog-digital display that measures the charging current and shows both a graphical and alphanumeric display of the current charge level and the time remaining until the battery is fully charged. The Xtar VC4 charges Li-ion batteries using the optimal algorithm for this type of battery: CC/CV (Constant Current/Constant Voltage) with a soft start, while NiMH/NiCd batteries are charged with a constant current in pulse mode, with voltage and current monitoring. The charging current depends on the number of batteries being charged simultaneously: 0.5A for 4 batteries and 1.0A for 2.

Important: The VC4s package does not include a power adapter. To take full advantage of the Xtar VC4s’ capabilities and achieve its maximum charging speed, you’ll need a USB adapter compatible with the QuickCharge 3.0 standard.
