Description

The Exotac PolyStriker magnesium lighter is made from recyclable ABS plastic; the PolyStriker fills the minimalist niche without sacrificing design or usability. The PolyStriker line features the same innovative tungsten carbide scraper design as the NanoStriker. The tungsten carbide insert is integrated into an easy-to-use scraper that snaps into the handle. The scraper and the tool are connected by a cord to ensure that both parts are present and accounted for at all times. The scraper locks securely into the handle when not in use. Simply push the tool out of the slot at the back of the handle, and you’re ready to go. Ferrocerium rods work best with tinder materials that have large surface areas: dry grass, wood shavings, cotton balls, dry leaves, lint from clothing, and more. Using the tinder material of your choice, create a voluminous tinder bundle to catch the sparks from the ferrocerium rod. Wrap the included cord around a few fingers to secure the scraper handle. Holding it at an angle, apply moderate pressure to quickly scrape the rod. The scraper should shave material off the ferrocerium rod.
