The Katana’s Menuki depicts the symbol of the Japanese Shina (Lion Dog)-the protector and guardian.
The blade is handcrafted by specialists in Damascus steel, featuring a Hamaguri grind and groove, and Hamon tempering (using clay to achieve varying hardness). The Tsuba, Fuchi, and Kashira are made of black iron with 24-karat gold-plated elements.
