Xtar ANT – MC1 Plus Charger

Description

Xtar ANT MC1 Plus is an updated version of the MC1 miniature Li-Ion battery charger, which can charge at twice the current of its predecessor: 1A instead of 500 mA and displays the charge status via a 4-segment LED indicator. The device does not have its own power supply but is powered via a USB port (1A); you can use it with an Android smartphone charger. Despite its small size, the Xtar ANT MC1 Plus has all the necessary features for properly charging Li-ion batteries: the device uses a CC/CV (Constant Current/Constant Voltage) algorithm with a soft start and allows for the reactivation of “locked” batteries (whose protection circuit has shut down due to over-discharge). The device features three types of protection: against reverse insertion of the battery into the socket, against short-circuiting of the terminals, and against battery overheating. The device automatically stops charging when the voltage reaches 4.2V and the current drops below 40 mA. The ANT MC1 Plus’s floating arm moves within a metal channel-this prevents the moving parts from wearing down the durable ABS plastic housing. The device comes with a USB-to-Micro USB cable and a synthetic fabric carrying pouch.
