Xtar VC2s Charger

Description

Xtar VC2s is a compact, dual-channel smart charger for all popular types of lithium-ion batteries (ICR, IMR, INR) and NiMH/NiCd batteries. The device features a special function for activating Li-Ion batteries with chip protection that read 0V, allowing you to revive a battery you would otherwise have written off. The Xtar VC2s is powered via a micro USB connector and features a combined analog-digital display that shows the charging current and displays the current charge level and the time remaining until the battery is fully charged, both graphically and as text. The Xtar VC2s charges Li-Ion batteries using the optimal algorithm for this type of battery: TC/CC/CV (Trickle Current/Constant Current/Constant Voltage) with a soft start, while NiMH/NiCd batteries are charged with constant current in pulse mode, with voltage and current monitoring. You can switch the charging current between 0.5A and 1.0A. A convenient feature of the Xtar VC2s is the ability to use it as a power bank. The charger features a standard USB output port to which you can connect an external device (tablet, cell phone, GPS receiver, MP3 player…) and provide it with power (5V/1A) by inserting a charged Li-Ion battery into its left slot. You also have the option to connect an additional USB device to the VC2s’ output while the batteries are charging. In this case, the charger’s intelligent control system will begin supplying power to the USB port in parallel with the charging of the batteries inserted into it. This saves you time: all you need to do is place two batteries in the charger in the evening and connect your cell phone to the output, and by the next morning, they’ll all be 100% charged without having to get up in the middle of the night to switch devices.

Important: The VC2s package does not include a power adapter. To take full advantage of the device’s capabilities and achieve maximum charging speed, you must provide a 5V 2.1A USB adapter. If the adapter cannot provide that much current, some features (daisy-chain charging of batteries and an external device, 1.0A charging) will not work.
