Born in Fulda, Germany, in 1993, Alex Kremer began making knives at the age of 18. His design philosophy is strongly influenced by his extensive travels through Scandinavia, resulting in clean lines, minimalist forms and a focus on functionality. The AK1 Drop Point perfectly embodies this approach, offering maximum everyday usability in a compact format. The fixed blade, crafted from MagnaCut powder-metallurgy steel (62 HRC ±1), ensures excellent edge retention, strength and corrosion resistance. This makes the fixed-blade knife ideal for precision cutting tasks during everyday carry, in urban environments and for outdoor activities. A visual highlight of this model is the removable scales on the handle, made from anodised gold-coloured aluminium. They provide an exclusive look whilst offering light weight, durability and a comfortable grip. Using the included Torx key, the scales can be easily removed and replaced with alternative options developed in collaboration with Daily Customs. The reversible lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be rotated and fully concealed inside the handle when the scales are removed. This creates a particularly slim and discreet profile, emphasising the knife’s minimalist character.
