Description

The Holosun HS503CU RD Solar 2MOA/65MOA reticle is a 20 mm micrometer reticle designed for use with rifles and carbines. The HS503CU features Holosun’s Solar Failsafe technology and our Multi-Reticle System (MRS), which includes a 2 MOA dot and a 65 MOA circle. Holosun’s red super LED provides up to 50,000 hours of battery life with 10 daylight brightness settings and 2night vision-compatible brightness settings. The reticle is made of 6061 aluminum and includes both a 1/3-inch (1.63-inch) bottom mount and a bottom (0.75-inch) mount for low-profile rifle applications. Other features include Shake Awake technology and rubber lens caps.

Shake AwakeTM
Shake Awake technology is a standard feature on all current Holosun sight models and serves to extend battery life by deactivating the sight’s LED when not in use. A highly sensitive motion sensor detects movement, keeping the LED on during use. This allows for on-duty or concealed carry with seamless operation throughout your day or shift. At the end of your day or shift, when your weapon is holstered, the motion sensor will detect inactivity, and after 10 minutes (default setting), Shake Awake technology turns off the LED until motion is detected again. Shake Awake offers settings ranging from 10 minutes to 12 hours, depending on the model, and can be completely disabled if desired. The slightest touch of the scope immediately reactivates the LED, so your Holosun scope is ready when you need it.

Solar Failsafe technology is one of the many innovations included in Holosun optics equipped with solar power. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails, you always have a backup power source whenever natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe activates in automatic mode, where the reticle’s brightness adjusts automatically based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions, you’ll have a brighter display, and in dimmer conditions, the display will reduce its brightness to adapt to any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a supercapacitor, the optics can operate indefinitely, day and night, with power maintained by the battery-free Solar Failsafe System.

Super LED technology provides a wide range of reticle brightness settings, from night-vision-compatible to bright daylight modes.
