The Holosun SCRS-MRS RD 2/65MOA Solar Rangefinder is a technologically advanced SCS from Holosun, creating an entirely new, ultra-compact 20-millimeter reticle designed for carbines. The reticle features light sensors and an advanced mode for automatic adjustment of the reticle brightness, as well as a manual mode for adjusting the dot brightness. The SCRS-RD reticle is made of 7075 aluminum and includes a high-profile mount (1.63″) that utilizes Holosun’s proven 509T footprint for compatibility with third-party RDS mounts. It is available with a red 2 MOA reticle and a 65 MOA circular reticle. The SCRS-RD features 12 reticle brightness settings, four of which are compatible with night vision devices, and a battery life of up to 50,000 hours. Solar Failsafe technology is one of the many innovations included in Holosun’s solar-powered devices. With Solar Failsafe technology, if your battery fails, you always have a backup power source as long as there is natural or artificial light available. Solar Failsafe activates in automatic mode, in which the display brightness adjusts automatically based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions, you get higher brightness, and in dimmer conditions, the intensity decreases to adapt to all lighting conditions. On models equipped with a supercapacitor, the device can operate indefinitely in both daytime and nighttime conditions, maintaining its charge via the solar safety system without using a battery.
