Description
Deactivated F-1 Anti-Personnel Defensive Hand Grenade.
The deactivated (disposed of) F-1 defensive grenade consists of two parts: the deactivated grenade and the mechanical part of the UZRGM (modernized standardized hand grenade igniter). It is designed to inflict casualties on enemy personnel in defensive combat. Metal fragments are scattered over a fairly significant radius. The name F-1, or “LIMONKA” in slang, derives from the French F-1 grenade-model 1915-and from the British “lemon” grenade system, which was used during World War I.
