The Caldwell E-Max Low Profile Electronic active ear muffs feature low-profile hearing protection that is ideal for shooting. The E-Max amplifies sounds below 85 decibels, which enhances normal communication, range commands, and ambient sounds. Above 85 decibels, the microphones mute for fractions of a second to protect the shooter’s hearing. The active hearing protectors feature an integrated audio input jack, allowing for music playback. Two microphones, one in each earpiece, deliver true stereo sound and allow the user to identify the direction of a sound source. Powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included).
