The DPM Spring for AR-15 Combat Carbines 2.23/5.56 Captured Version Standard Ammo MIL-SPEC Carbine Size 83mm/3.26″ is a direct replacement for the buttstock buffer and requires no modification. Recoil reduction is achieved thanks to a patented mechanism featuring multiple springs and a counterweight. The system provides superior recoil reduction by gradually slowing the bolt carrier before it stops at the bottom of the barrel. Compared to the OEM buffer, it provides additional force that stops harsh impacts on the frame.
