The DPM recoil spring for Heckler & Koch VP40 & SFP40 for Mechanical Recoil Reduction The DPM is designed to accommodate 115 gr and 124 gr ammunition and is a direct replacement for the factory spring. This system operates via a multi-spring assembly (3 springs) and controls the pistol’s functionality. The third spring, contained within the rod, controls the movement of the slide so that it never strikes the frame. The system also includes 2 separate external springs. The springs vary in length, with the longest being the heaviest when the slide is at the magazine well, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the firearm to their personal preferences.
