The WUBEN G5 EDC Light is a small keychain flashlight. The aluminum body is super flat, and the flashlight isn’t very big. It’s probably about as thick as a Zippo lighter. It appears that Wuben took the side-lighting option and its electronic/battery components from the X2 Pro series and used them to create this new flashlight. On the narrow side of the body, opposite the LED and the pocket clip, there’s a sliding switch that you can push forward. You’re now out of lock mode and can turn on the G5 by pressing the power switch just above this sliding part of the flashlight. Slide it all the way forward to access the USB port for convenient charging via USB-C. There’s no battery compartment to speak of, as it features a built-in battery that is neither accessible nor replaceable. That said, the Wuben G5 has an IP68 rating, allowing it to operate 2 m underwater for up to 1 hour.

The entire flashlight fits easily into any pocket and features an adjustable pocket clip with an interesting design. If you pull on the pocket clip, it releases enough to let you attach it to the front, side, or back of the device. This gives you plenty of carrying options, if you ever happen to use the clip at all. In fact, I prefer to carry the G5 in my right front pocket without using the clip at all. I just love how small, thin, and light it is, which makes it comfortable to carry all day long! The Wuben G5 is so flat that it won’t roll around, no matter how you position it. It also has a strap attachment point and an included strap for this carrying style, if you prefer.
