However, this assumes that you handle the knife with care and that it is used for its intended purpose-namely, as a sharp, precision tool. The foundation of the Fallkniven F1x’s strength lies in its well-thought-out design, which eliminates potential breakage points. As is our custom, we put a great deal of effort into designing a safe sheath for the knife-a sheath in which the knife will, in fact, spend most of its time. The sheath’s design determines access to the knife, and here we truly put all our effort into creating a safe sheath that allows easy access to the knife. It features both a travel lock (the folding clip with a strap) and a functional safety mechanism that keeps the knife securely in place until you’re ready to use it. The approach is a bit like a belt and shoulder straps, but we like to put safety first-a lost knife is useless. Therefore, the travel lock will allow the knife to be secured at an upward or downward angle on your body or on your gear without any risk.
