Peltonen knives are particularly well-known for the Sissipuuko knife, a favorite among military personnel and desert travelers. The Peltonen Knives Pikkusissi M23 puukko is the newest addition to the family-smaller, yet more compact and maneuverable than its larger predecessors. While previous Sissipuukko models are more often viewed as survival knives, this smaller knife is ideally suited for more specific tasks such as cutting, carving, and the many everyday tasks and challenges a hiker or angler faces while out in the wilderness.

Like the other Sissies, the Pikkusissi M23 puukko relies on a proven combination of carbon steel and high-strength TPV vulcanized alloy. The 6.5-centimeter induction-hardened blade (blade tip: HRC 62, tang: HRC 59) blade cuts through material with ease and stays sharp for a long time. However, if necessary, sharpening is easy. Keep in mind that carbon steel always requires a little care. Therefore, keep the knife blade clean and wash and dry it after each use. You can also apply a little oil to the blade from time to time. With proper care, corrosion will be prevented and the blade will remain undamaged.

The TPV handle material is a rubber-like plastic that is resistant to wear, impact, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations for virtually an indefinite period. The handle remains secure in your hand even in wet conditions. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath. The Peltonen Knives M23, Little Fork, is small but practical. It’s an excellent EDC knife for all kinds of outdoor work and general tasks where you need a reliable and, above all, safe knife.
