The Peltonen Knives Sissipuukko M95 is a quintessentially Finnish tool; your all-purpose companion in the wilderness and under extreme conditions. Many people remember it from their military service, and for many, it is a familiar tool from their professional duties. Hunters use the Sissipuukko to handle game, while hikers use it to help with their evening snowshoe treks. The knife’s thick blade is made of 80CrV2 carbon steel-a steel commonly used in Finnish knives and proven to be reliable. The steel offers a balanced combination of hardness and durability. It stays sharp for a long time and is easy to sharpen when necessary. The M95 version has a blade length of 15 centimeters. The knife’s thick blade is made of carbon steel with a PTFE coating. PTFE (Teflon) protects the otherwise rust-prone carbon steel from corrosion and reduces friction and the buildup of contaminants. The coating also meets food safety certification requirements. The blade can withstand slightly rougher use and is easy to resharpen if necessary.

The TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) handle feels like rubber. The material is virtually indestructible. It is resistant to wear and impact, chemicals, weathering, and temperature fluctuations.
