The Pohl Force MK-9 Legacy knife has been welcomed by hundreds of loyal fans of the movie First Blood from around the world, and it has brought with it the MK-9 Legacy prototype featuring black G-10 scales and a matching Kydex® sheath. The MK-9 Legacy impresses not only with its appearance but also with numerous well-thought-out functional elements. Its size and appearance correspond to Dietmar Pohl’s legendary MK-9 design, but the design-originally conceived as a combat knife-has been transformed into a survival knife with a superb sense of form, detail, and functionality. Key features include the rear saw, the screwdrivers on the hand guard, the slots in the hand guard for securing cables, a compartment for survival tools inside the handle, a striking element at the end of the handle, and a key for loosening the handle screws.

Only select, high-quality materials are used for the MK-9 Legacy. The massive spear-point blade, measuring 230 millimeters in length and 6.2 millimeters in thickness, is crafted from Niolox high-alloy carbon steel. This material impresses with properties such as high rust resistance and exceptional edge retention. The matte finish on the blade prevents glare and emphasizes the Legacy’s technical appearance.

The textured scales on the handle, made of black G-10, are CNC-milled from solid material. The material is exceptionally durable and resistant to mechanical stress and other external environmental influences. Easy access to the handle cavity is possible using the key included in the scope of delivery.

As with the CNC-Tec edition from MOVIE KNIVES, the MK-9 Legacy is manufactured to strict specifications in close collaboration with our European manufacturing partner, Lionsteel. As a multiple winner of the “Blade Manufacturing Award,” this is a guarantee of exceptional quality. The Kydex® handle, also manufactured in Europe, is produced by Cuchillería El Abuelo in Albacete, Spain. Only genuine Kydex® material, manufactured in the U.S., is used, with a substantial material thickness of 2.5 millimeters, which is typical for Pohl Force. The leg loops and belt loop are made of extremely tear-resistant nylon.
