The TRC Knives Classic Freedom knife was created in honor of the American writer Ernest Hemingway. He may have enjoyed winning the Nobel Prize in Literature, but not as much as he enjoyed camping and fishing. Ernest Hemingway was a great adventurer and a true man of the outdoors. As a young man, he spent his days honing his fishing skills in the rivers of Northern Michigan. In the early 1930s, he completed a course in deep-sea fishing. Later, Hemingway won every organized fishing tournament you can imagine. As one story goes, the great writer nearly missed his own wedding because his mind was too absorbed in fishing during one of his expeditions. He found his passion in fishing and his freedom in nature. CLASSIC FREEDOM is a knife for men like Hemingway. It is the smaller version of the original THIS IS FREEDOM knife.

The Classic Freedom Full Black is a full-tang knife, crafted from a single, carefully selected piece of material that spans the entire length and width of the handle. The knife is made from the highest-quality M390 steel. M390 is one of the few steels available on the market that ranks among the absolute highest quality materials used in the production of top-tier knives. Its best properties are achieved through a properly executed hardening process, in which three stages must be carried out flawlessly: hardening, cryogenic cooling (freezing), and tempering. A properly prepared M390 blade is extremely resistant to overloading, stays sharp for a very long time (it wears down very slowly), and has excellent corrosion resistance. To further enhance its durability and protect against corrosion, the knife features a black DLC coating. This diamond-like carbon coating, with an exceptional hardness of approximately 90 HRC, strengthens the steel and improves its anti-reflective properties.
