The BlackFox Acutus Black D2 G10 is a versatile, compact EDC folding knife, designed by Grigory Matveev for those who prefer wider blades and whose work requires deep cuts. Excellent grip ergonomics and blade-to-handle ratio. D2 tool steel blade with a black PTFE coating, G10 handle-a knife that won’t let you down! D2 tool steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium steel, heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With its high chromium (Cr) content of 13.0%, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. It combines strength, excellent edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is characterized by high wear resistance due to the high carbide content in its microstructure. “Drop point” style with a wide blade, featuring a scratch-resistant finish and an anti-reflective PTFE coating. The curved cutting edge with a clearly defined belly tapers to the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The blade thickness ensures high strength, while the high-flat grind provides excellent cutting edge geometry and exceptional cutting performance. The knife can be opened with a quick flipper (index finger flipper), and when open, it acts as a lock. As a result, it can be used by both right- and left-handed users without any issues. A serrated thumb rest is located on the back of the blade. Liner-Lock mechanism. The handle is made of G10, a virtually indestructible plastic that is impervious to weather conditions and resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The beveled edges of the scales eliminate sharp edges, and the textured surface improves grip confidence. The solid backplate, to which the scales are attached, ensures the rigidity and strength of the entire construction. The pivot is adorned with a silver ring. The single-position (right-side) deep-carry clip allows the knife to be carried in a tip-up position, with the blade tip pointing upward.
