The blade is made of CPM S30V steel, a premium powder steel with excellent edge retention. What sets Buck apart from competitors who use the same type of steel is its method of heat-treating the steel. The knife is easier to handle thanks to the double-sided pin at the base. The ClipPoint blade strikes a perfect balance among other blade types, which is why it is used in hunting, combat, and utility knives alike; it offers excellent piercing capabilities. The handle is made of durable G10 material.
