The CIVIVI Baby Banter 2 Nitro-V is a compact and practical EDC knife designed by Ben Petersen. In the pocket knife community, Ben is also known as @ben_banters for his catchphrase, “What’s up, guys!” He envisioned this larger version of the Banter as a pocket knife that didn’t have to look like any other pocket knife. People asked him why he hadn’t released this unique knife. A collaboration with WE Knife was in the works, and now it’s here: the WE Knife Banter. By popular demand, there’s now a smaller version of the Banter: the Civivi Baby Banter. This is the Baby Banter 2, which features a cross-lock mechanism, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed users. With a blade length of 6 cm, this is a compact pocket knife that easily fits in your pocket. You can tell by its weight of 65 grams. You’ll hardly even notice you’re carrying it with you! Opening the Civivi Baby Banter 2 pocket knife with one hand is very easy thanks to the thumb stud. Once open, the sturdy Crossbar Lock ensures that the blade is locked in place and won’t close accidentally during use. A great feature of this lock is that it can be easily used by both left- and right-handed people. The name “Crossbar Lock” is a general term for locks of this type. The basis of this mechanism is the Axis Lock, developed by Benchmade. Today, several manufacturers are happy to use the same mechanism, albeit sometimes under different names.
