The CIVIVI Cogent Damast Micarta Green knife is a pocket knife for all everyday tasks. The Cogent features an improved push-button lock. This means the blade locks in place with a sturdy button. To open it, press the lock and pull the blade out. The lock also secures the blade when it is closed. The handle consists of steel liners with Micarta scales. Micarta is an excellent composite material made from flax and synthetic resin. It looks great and offers a very good grip. The blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N steel. All you need to know is that it’s rust-resistant and easy to sharpen. 14C28N is also quite durable and holds its edge well. It’s an excellent steel for a knife in this price range.
