The CIVIVI Cogent Damast Micarta Green knife is a pocket knife for all everyday tasks. The Cogent features an improved push-button lock. This means the blade locks in place with a sturdy button. To open it, press the lock and pull the knife out. The lock also secures it when closed. The handle consists of steel liners with Micarta scales. Micarta is an excellent composite material made from flax and synthetic resin. It looks great and offers a very good grip. The blade is made of Damascus steel. This is a type of steel composed of two different steels that are forged and folded together. Folding it in various ways creates truly unique patterns. Originally, Damascus steel was forged to improve the quality of the steel. These days, it’s done simply to make it look great.
