To make this easier, there’s a fingernail notch that gives you a little extra grip. This pocket knife isn’t equipped with a full lock, but only with a slide mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from closing during normal use. However, if you press down on the spine of the blade, the knife will close.
