The CIVIVI Thug 2 Nitro-V Micarta knife was designed by Matthew Christensen of Christensen Knifeworks. The CIVIVI Thug 2 offers his signature design in a budget-friendly version. The Thug 2, with its linear lock, retains the eye-catching Tanto blade with a double thumb-opening mechanism. The skeletonized liners and flat scales offer a more streamlined handle that is slim and comfortable both in the pocket and during use. This version features a blued matte gray blade made of Nitro-V steel and dark green scales on the canvas micarta handle. The blade is Tanto-shaped with a flat-ground tip for strength when piercing and cutting flat surfaces, and a concave primary edge. Thanks to a ceramic-bearing hinge, the opening action is fast and smooth, and the knife can be opened from either side using the dual thumb studs. The matte gray Nitro-V blade offers a stylish appearance while ensuring balanced performance. The gray skeletonized stainless steel liners support the high-grip micarta scales for a sturdy, lightweight, and secure grip. Nitro-V is a modified AEB-L steel with added nitrogen and vanadium for improved performance. The result is a very fine-grained steel with excellent edge stability, allowing for very fine and high-quality sharpening.
