Opinel No. 08 Stainless Steel Knife, Red Laminated Birch Handle

The Opinel No. 8 knife from the French company Opinel, which has a 120-year history and has become a symbol of French culture and traditions. The first Opinel was created in 1890 by Joseph Opinel, who was 18 years old at the time and worked in his family’s tool workshop. The knife quickly gained popularity among local farmers, ranchers, and winegrowers thanks to its lightness and durability. This popularity soon spread beyond the borders of the Savoie region, and today extends even beyond France.

The design of the Opinel No. 8 features an 8.5 cm stainless steel blade, and its handle is made of polished lacquered birch. The Opinel No. 08 Brown Laminated Birch knife, with its striking blade and naturally colored birch handle in red color is truly unique and is sure to win you over immediately. We use a modified stainless steel Sandvik 12C27. The blade is corrosion-resistant thanks to the addition of chromium and requires no special maintenance.
