The Spyderco POLICE MODEL STAINLESS VG-10 Stainless Steel knife is Spyderco’s police model and was developed in the early 1980sin response to requests from law enforcement officers who wanted a slim, easy-to-carry folding knife capable of performing like a fixed-blade knife. The result was the Police Model-one of the most durable and iconic folding knives ever produced. The classic version of the Police model features a satin-finished stainless steel handle with beveled edges for maximum comfort during use. This handle design provides substantial weight and a solid foundation for the robust locking mechanism on the back of the knife, which includes a Boye Dent to prevent accidental release of the lock during use. Its blade is made of VG-10 stainless steel with a beveled back (unsharpened bevel) for a sharp tip geometry. Available with PlainEdgeTM, SpyderEdgeTM, or CombinationEdgeTM; the Police Model’s blade also features our trademarked Round HoleTM for fast, reliable one-handed opening. A four-position carrying clip completes the package.
