The Vosteed RSKAOS M390 Titanium Knife is a flagship collaboration between Vosteed and R.S. Knifeworks (Rob Saniscalchi). The knife features an M390 blade and a titanium handle, and is also equipped with an updated locking mechanism-the Top Liner Lock. The RSKAOS combines the best of both worlds-incorporating extensive customer feedback and a high level of lock strength. Unlike Rob’s custom version with a frame lock, this knife uses its own Top Liner Lock, which is similar to a hybrid between an insert-liner lock and a Compression Lock. The Top Liner Lock is intentionally designed to be strong and secure. When the knife is closed, the locking bar is almost completely hidden from view. The standalone stainless steel plate is securely fastened in a milled pocket inside the titanium handle and is further reinforced by a solid titanium backplate. When the knife is in the open position, the locking bar holds the blade in place and prevents it from rotating further. Like other Vosteed knives, this knife also features multiple deployment options. The angled thumb hole and low-profile flipper work well together, and the combination offers both great comfort and fun maneuverability. This Vosteed knife is based on Rob’s highly sought-after custom knife. The blade is made from Böhler M390. Both the Wharncliffe version (3.46″) and the Sheepsfoot version (3.30″) feature Rob’s bold signature design. The dark version features a black PVD titanium coating on both the blade and the handle, paired with a gold-colored aluminum pivot collar and matching hardware (screws and pocket clips). To improve ease of use and the user experience, the knife is equipped with a CNC-milled titanium button. The height and travel distance of the release button are designed to minimize accidental deployment. In addition, the 3D-milled titanium pocket clip offers both secure carrying and elegant aesthetics.
