The new 2015 Hardcoat diamond sharpening surface from U.S. manufacturer DMT is designed for ceramic blades and those made from the hardest steels. This is the hardest surface offered to date.
The DuoSharpTM series features double-sided diamond surfaces with various combinations of abrasive grit sizes.
- Fine diamond (25 microns / 600 mesh) for a razor-sharp edge.
- Extra-Fine diamond (9 microns / 1200 mesh) to polish and refine a razor-sharp edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond.

The DMT W8EF-H-WB Hardcoat (Extra Fine – Fine) sharpening stone features a double-sided diamond abrasive-fine and extra fine. It is an 8-inch (203 mm) long and 67 mm wide stone. The Hardcoat coating from the U.S. manufacturer DMT is designed for ceramic blades and those made from the hardest steels. Comes with a base for greater convenience and stability.
