KMFS Leather Strops Sharpening Strap

KMFS RIVAL leather strops are designed for polishing the knife blade on the KMFS sharpening system. The strope is the final step in the sharpening process. The leather removes small scratches and other imperfections on the blade that remain after sharpening. Use the strop to make your knife even sharper and give the edge a mirror-like finish. Use this leather strop in combination with a polishing paste. For example, with KMFS Diamond Paste 3000 grit or KMFS Diamond Paste 6000 grit. Apply a few drops of polishing paste to the leather and spread it until the entire strap is covered with the polishing paste. Let it sit for a few minutes. Once applied, the polishing paste will remain in place for several sharpening sessions. You do not need to reapply the paste every time you sharpen. How long it lasts depends on how often you use the strop. You’ll notice when the strop is no longer effective.
