The Naniwa 220/1000 Combination Whetstone offers two sharpening sides with different grits-220 (green) and 1000 (red). This makes it a versatile tool for both initial blade shaping and fine sharpening and maintenance. 220 grit-designed for quick and effective rough sharpening of heavily worn, damaged, or dull blades. This side is ideal for correcting the sharpening angle and restoring the blade’s geometry. Grit 1000-a fine and uniform texture, suitable for precise finishing and smoothing the edge. After using it, the blade becomes exceptionally smooth and sharp, ready for daily use. The stone is manufactured using a technology similar to that of traditional Japanese waterstones and ensures fast and effective sharpening. It is recommended to soak the stone in water for 10-15 minutes before use for optimal results.
