Description
The Spyderco GAUNTLETTM SELECT sharpening system is a simple, easy-to-use sharpening system that allows even novice users to achieve razor-sharp edges in just a few minutes without electricity, oil, water, or complicated clamps and fixtures. Its injection-molded, impact-resistant plastic base features a built-in hand guard and specially designed slots that hold the abrasive rods at the perfect 40-degree angle (20 degrees on each side) to create sharp, long-lasting edges.
The star-shaped holes allow the rods to be rotated to expose fresh abrasive surfaces or to reorient the rod edges for sharpening serrated edges. Ideal for most sharpening needs, the Gauntlet Select includes a pair of fine ceramic rods. For very dull knives or for re-profiling heavily worn edges, CBN rods are available separately.
