Description
Sabrage is the technique of opening a bottle of champagne with a saber. This technique became popular in France after the French Revolution. The saber was the weapon of choice for Napoleon’s formidable cavalry, and their spectacular victories across Europe gave them cause for celebration. It is said that Napoleon once remarked: “Champagne! In victory, one deserves it; in defeat, one needs it.”
The Fox Knives SOMMELIER’S SABRE features a blade made of stainless steel, a molded rubber handle wrapped in brass wire, and a guard and hilt made of nickel-plated cast iron. The saber comes with a wooden stand and a deluxe box.
