Description

The Xtar X2 Charger is a compact, 2-channel smart charger for all popular types of lithium-ion (ICR, IMR, INR) and NiMH batteries, featuring several new functions. Dual power supply options: from the mains (110-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) or via a USB micro connector (5 V/2.1 A). Standard USB output (5V/1A) to power an additional device, such as charging a cell phone, and automatically determines the charging current based on the type of batteries inserted. The Xtar X4 has a special function for activating protected Li-Ion batteries that read 0V, allowing you to revive a battery you would otherwise have written off. The device features a backlit combined analog-digital display that shows the charging current and displays the current charge level-both graphically and as symbols-as well as the time remaining until the battery is fully charged. If desired, the screen backlight can be turned off. The Xtar X2 charges Li-ion batteries using the optimal algorithm for this type of battery: CC/CV (Constant Current/Constant Voltage) with a soft start, while NiMH/NiCd batteries are charged with constant current in pulse mode, with voltage and current monitoring. The charging current depends on the number of batteries being charged simultaneously.
