Shimoda Modular Insert for DSLR Camera (Small)

Its founder, Ian Miller, has spent his entire life as an explorer, snowboarder, and product designer, known for developing some of the world’s most innovative camera bags. Shimoda is his latest venture, representing the culmination of his entire experience, using the most advanced materials and technologies available to minimize discomfort, fatigue, and-not infrequently-pain resulting from the harsher conditions in the mountains. The three main pillars of the brand’s success are its flexibility, lightness, and accessories, which every hiker or photographer can configure according to their individual needs.

The modular camera insert features movable internal dividers, allowing for customization of the interior space. It provides shock-resistant protection for mirrorless cameras, compact DSLRs without a grip, and lenses, and ensures you won’t carry more than necessary. It can hold a mirrorless or compact DSLR camera (without a grip), with up to two compact lenses or one larger lens (up to 70-200mm f/2.8). It can be used in almost all Shimoda backpack models, either on its own or in combination with another insert (see the compatibility chart). The insert includes all the popular features of our Core Unit system: EVA-laminated dividers and sturdy side walls, a lightweight, removable, waterproof zippered cover that protects the module from dirt when not in use, and an aluminum frame to add extra rigidity and support to the entire module. Shimoda’s camera inserts come in several sizes that, depending on the model and size of the backpack, can be combined to suit your needs-whether you need more space for your gear or more room for personal belongings.
