This pen features a gold titanium nitride coating, which is one of the best and most durable coatings ever applied to a writing instrument. Titanium nitride is an extremely hard and abrasion-resistant coating used both in medicine for coating implants and in the aerospace industry to improve the abrasion resistance of certain parts. The golden color is a natural result of this durable coating. When opened, it is a fully sized, evenly balanced writing instrument. Every Fisher Space pen is precision-assembled, hand-tested, and comes with a lifetime warranty against all manufacturing defects.
