The Sawyer Tap SP134 Water Filter is a new addition to Sawyer’s line of high-performance water filtration systems. The Sawyer Tap filter removes biological contaminants, ensuring instant clean drinking water when you need it most. The tap filter is easy to use and will filter up to 1,900 liters of clean drinking water per day. It’s the ideal companion for use during natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes, as well as while traveling. The Tap Filter provides peace of mind for all questionable water sources-camping, festivals, events, or when traveling abroad.

Features of the Sawyer SP134 Water Purification Tap Filter

All Sawyer filters contain a large number of small “U”-shaped microtubes with hollow fibers that trap contaminants while allowing filtered water to flow freely at a high flow rate. This instant filtration process eliminates the need to store water and reduces the risk of water contamination after filtration. The Sawyer Tap Filter is certified for 0.1-micron filtration. This means that no pores are larger than 0.1 microns, making it impossible for harmful bacteria (such as Salmonella or Leptospira), protozoa, or cysts such as E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi . All Sawyer water filters meet or exceed the standards recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency.
