Description
The DPM Spring for 1911-2011 Combat Pistols 5″ replaces the original spring without altering the pistol’s factory configuration. This system operates thanks to a multi-spring assembly (3 springs) and controls the pistol’s functionality. The third spring, contained within the rod, controls the movement of the slide so that it never strikes the frame. The system includes 3 spacers of different lengths, a spring stop, a red tool with a pressure plate, a metal screwdriver with a socket, and 3 different outer springs. The long spacer provides a strong buffering effect; when switching to shorter spacers, a milder buffering effect is observed. The washers determine only the buffer force (fully open position of the slider), while the external springs determine only the closed position of the slider (slider resting on the battery). The outer springs are of different lengths; the long spring is heavy, while the short one is light, allowing the shooter to finely adjust the pistol’s opening and locking positions (sliding the slide) according to their personal preferences.
