DPM Spring for 1911 5″ Combat Pistols

Description

The DPM Recoil Spring for DPM 1911 5″ Combat Pistols replaces the standard recoil spring without altering the pistol’s factory configuration. The mechanical recoil reduction system is a direct replacement for the recoil rod and does not alter the pistol’s configuration. This system operates via a multi-spring assembly (3 springs) and controls the pistol’s functionality. The third spring contained within the rod controls the movement of the slide so that it never strikes the frame. The system includes 1 spring base, 3 spring plugs, and 3 different outer springs. The adjustable spring cap provides different buffer force (slide in the fully open position), while the external springs only hold the slide in the closed position (slide on the magazine). The external springs are of different lengths; the long spring is heavy, while the short one is light, allowing the shooter to finely tune the pistol’s opening and closing position (slide movement) according to their personal preferences.

The spring plug must always be installed when using the DPM recoil rod and springs.
