Xtar BP2s Charger and Power Bank

Description

Xtar BP2s is a compact, dual-channel smart charger for lithium-ion batteries (ICR, IMR, INR) that can also function as a power bank, using charged batteries as a power source. The device is designed to accommodate unprotected batteries of various sizes, up to Ф21 mm in diameter and 70 mm in length (i.e., 21700), as well as protected 18650-type cells. The lid attaches to the housing via a magnetic latch. The housing itself is made of impact-resistant and fire-retardant engineering plastic and has a matte, rubber-like finish (except for the area around the screen, where the finish is transparent and glossy). The device has a special feature for activating Li-Ion batteries with chip protection that register a 0V voltage, allowing you to revive a battery you would otherwise have written off. The Xtar BP2s has two USB ports: one Type-A and one Type-C. Both ports can be used to connect a device, but when the device is operating in charger mode, you must connect it to the Type-C port.

Important: The Xtar BP2s supports the two latest fast-charging standards: QuickCharge 3.0 (Qualcomm) and Power Delivery 3.0 (5V/2A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A).

A digital display is installed at the top of the panel, which shows different readings depending on how the device is being used. When charging Li-Ion batteries, the display shows the charge level as a percentage and the current and voltage values at that moment. When discharging a battery in power bank mode, the display shows the remaining battery capacity as a percentage, along with the output voltage and current. Pressing the side button switches between the readings for the left and right ports. The Xtar PB2s charges Li-Ion batteries using the optimal algorithm for this type of battery: TC/CC/CV (Trickle Current/Constant Current/Constant Voltage) with a soft start, while NiMH/NiCd batteries are charged with constant current in pulse mode, with voltage and current monitoring. You can switch the charging current between 0.5A and 1.0A.
