The DPM recoil spring for BERETTA PX4 STORM F/G/C/D combat pistols is a mechanical recoil reduction system and a direct replacement for the recoil block; it does not alter the pistol’s configuration. This system operates thanks to a multi-spring composite rod (three springs); in some cases, the system provides nearly double the force on the slide at the end of its fully open position compared to the factory OEM spring and acts as a slide buffer. As a result, the slide stops smoothly against the frame and produces less recoil. Furthermore, the pistol’s moving parts are protected, which extends the pistol’s service life.
