Convenient to carry in a bag, pocket, or on a belt, Mace Brand Compact Stun Gun features a functional flashlight. The powerful LED operates in high, low, and strobe modes.
Effects: It will cause pain and minor muscle contractions. Stunning an attacker for one to two seconds will cause spasms and dizziness. Stunning an attacker for three to five seconds will result in a loss of balance and muscle control. Do not continue to stun an attacker once you have managed to escape to a safe place.
Usage: The flashlight has three modes-bright, economy, and strobe-which can be selected by toggling the slide switch on the flashlight until the desired light mode is achieved. The flashlight’s beam can be adjusted from a narrow focus to a wide spread by turning the dial. Use the strobe function to distract an attacker for a moment. To use the stun function, slide the flashlight’s switch to the fully off position, OFF. Then slide the power switch, located at the base of the device, from the OFF position to the ON position. The stun function is activated by pressing the button located opposite the flashlight’s slide switch. To prevent accidental activation of the stun function, the power switch must be returned to the OFF position when not in use. In many cases, the visual and auditory effects of using the stun gun are, in themselves, an effective deterrent. The striking electric arc and the loud clicking sound will often cause a potential attacker to think twice about attacking. Pressing the stun button as a warning may be all it takes to keep a potential attacker from approaching you. If the situation escalates to the point where you feel it is necessary to use it against the attacker, hold the electrodes against their body and press the stun button. The most effective areas for stunning are the shoulders and thighs.
