Description

The Exotac NanoStriker XL magnesium lighter is an improvement on the original NanoStriker, but with a larger rod and handle. It uses the same innovative design as the original, but with just enough extra size and weight to improve ease of use without being too large or bulky to carry on a keychain. The NanoStriker XL’s handle is 46% larger, making it easier to grip. The XL version also features a 33% larger magnesium rod, which improves the rod’s durability and lifespan. Magnesium lighters work best with tinder materials that have large surface areas: dry grass, wood shavings, cotton balls, dry leaves, lint from clothing, etc. Using the tinder of your choice, create a loose pile of material to catch the sparks from the magnesium rod. Wrap the included cord around a few fingers to secure the scraper handle. Holding the scraper at an angle, apply moderate pressure to quickly scrape the rod. The scraper should chip away material from the magnesium rod.
