The Mora Basic 546 12C27 Steel TPE Color of the Year 2025 is a limited-edition knife designed for all types of outdoor activities. Every year, Morakniv releases a new Color of the Year. The same quality and functionality, but in different colors. This year’s color is a combination of Dala red and Siljan blue. This color combination is inspired by Lake Siljan, located near Mora, as well as by the beautiful red color that has characterized the houses in Mora and the surrounding area for decades. This version features a blade made of Sandvik 12C27 steel. Rust-resistant and durable, it retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. The blade has a classic Scandinavian grind. The handles for the Morakniv Basic collection have remained the same for years. The round handle is made of solid plastic with a subtle texture for optimal grip. The front and back of the handle feature ridges to ensure the knife won’t slip out of your hand. The sheath is also made of durable plastic. In the case of this limited edition, it comes in a unique blue color. The knife snaps into the sheath with an audible click. The indentations at the top provide enough grip for your thumb as you remove the knife from the sheath. A hole at the base of the sheath allows water to drain out if necessary. The belt clip has a special design. Of course, you can use the belt clip to attach the sheath to your belt, but you can also add another Morakniv sheath. This means you can organize several knives from this collection. This is super practical if you want to carry a serrated knife and a regular knife at the same time. The easiest way to detach the sheaths is to rotate the top sheath a quarter turn to release the button that secures it.
