Description
The Mora Garberg Grand BlackBlade (C) is a large survival knife with a 142 mm long blade and a thickness of 3.2 mm, made of Swedish stainless steel. The full-length blade is well-balanced and extends through the handle, with an exposed back edge for striking, scraping, or starting a fire. The sharpened edge is compatible with magnesium sticks. The knife comes with a leather sheath. The extended blade makes the Garberg Grand (S) sturdy enough to fell small trees. It handles demanding tasks such as splitting wood, woodcarving, cutting branches, and building shelters. A reliable survival tool for wilderness expeditions and bushcraft. The dark brown handle is ergonomically shaped with a Dala-style friction grip and a finger guard, ensuring a secure grip in all weather conditions. The knife comes with a sheath made of vegetable-tanned European leather in a matching brown color, equipped with a practical belt loop. The 3.2 mm-thick blade is made of German carbon steel (C100S), hardened to 57.5 HRC. The steel is easy to sharpen but requires regular maintenance. The DLC coating provides corrosion protection, but the blade should always be wiped down and oiled after use. The Scandinavian grind ensures strength and control when cutting and is easy to sharpen on the go.
