Description
The Böker ME 109 Damascus Carbon Fiber knife isinspired by the legendary Messerschmitt with the model abbreviation “Me,” the name Me 109. The steel for this knife comes from a Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-series aircraft that was shot down by a Royal Air Force Supermarine Spitfire near the village of Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom, in 1940 during the Battle of Britain. Forged by Chad Nichols from high-carbon, durable 80-layer Damascus steel. The cutouts on the back of the blade base clearly resemble the shape of the pilot’s cockpit and are visible when the knife is both closed and open. The flipper features a retractable landing gear wheel. Toxic Storm material from Fatcarbon Materials in green, black, and yellow was chosen for the front carbon fiber handle wrap. This color scheme is based on the characteristic camouflage paint of the Bf 109, featuring a green-gray base coat and a contrasting yellow accent. The opposite side features a frame lock made of titanium with a complex, integrated hard-metal contact surface. An elegant and intricately integrated clip allows for right-side carry. Comes with a high-quality storage case and a certificate of authenticity.
